In a shocking update on the Vadodara road rage case, accused Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia on March 15 claimed that the reason behind the accident which resulted in the death of one woman and injured four is the pothole menace. Rakshit said, "We were going ahead of the scooty, we were turning right and there was a pothole on the road. There was a scooty and a car while we were turning right... The car slightly touched the other vehicle and the airbag opened suddenly, our vision was hampered and the car went out of control". Furthermore, Rakshit has claimed that he was driving the car at 50 km/ph and was not drunk. He also added that he went for a Holika Dahan celebration and that he did not do any party.

Former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday said he will be released from jail on April 1, Saturday. He is lodged in jail in a road rage case dating back to 1988. According to media reports, Sidhu will be prematurely released for his good conduct. After spending about 10 months in Patiala`s central jail, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to walk free on Saturday.
