Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar got emotional while speaking to the media for the first time after the Bengaluru stampede. He said the government must learn from this incident. "Let the opposition play politics over the deaths. I will show how many times they’ve done that before. But it’s painful to see the suffering of young children—I’ve seen their pain," he said.
