Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha is the Indian leg of the larger spy universe created by the Russo Brothers. They have an Italian chapter as well, called Citadel: Diana. Creators Anthony Russo, Angela Russo-OTST and David Weil sat down with Mid-day`s Mayank Shekhar to talk about their spy universe and India connect. Anthony Russo, who has also produced Extraction, revealed his love for Kundalini Yoga, and how India`s love for the Marvel films was a huge motivator for them to explore cinema in this country.

`Citadel: Diana` fame Matilda De Angelis and its showrunner Gina Gardini speak exclusively to Mid-day about the Italian spin-off to the popular spy series that originally featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Set in 2030 Milan, the show follows Diana Cavalieri, a former agent of the independent global spy agency, Citadel. Diana is left undercover as a mole after the agency`s destruction by a powerful enemy group called Manticore. The six-episode series will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on October 10, 2024.
