In a deeply tragic coincidence, industrialist Sunjay Kapur, ex-husband of actress Karisma Kapoor, passed away on June 12 after reportedly suffering a heart attack during a golf session in London. He was 53. Reports suggest the cardiac arrest may have been triggered by accidentally swallowing a bee that stung his throat. 

Nirmal Kapoor, mother to actors Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, passed away on 2nd May aged 90. Anil Kapoor’s daughter and actor Sonam Kapoor was seen reaching the residence to be with her family and mourn the passing of her grandmother. As the Kapoor family mourns the loss, members of the film fraternity arrived at the Kapoor residence in Mumbai to offer their condolences. Karan Johar, Anupam Kher, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Raveena Tandon, Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan were among those seen paying their respects.
