Just hours after India and Pakistan announced a renewed ceasefire agreement, tensions flared as Pakistan violated the truce, prompting swift action from Indian defense forces. India activated its air defense systems following the detection of drones crossing over from Pakistani territory, with some regions also experiencing power outages during the episode. In response, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized that while a ceasefire understanding exists, India will remain resolute in its fight against terrorism. Reacting sharply to the developments, Shiv Sena (UBT) denounced the cessation of hostilities, calling it “an attack on our sovereignty” and questioning the wisdom of trusting Pakistan amid continued provocations.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut supported the Home Ministry`s decision to hold mock drills after the Pahalgam terror attack, saying it’s okay if the government wants to prepare. However, he also raised doubts about the central government’s ability to handle a possible war with Pakistan, especially with China supporting Pakistan. Raut questioned whether the current government could manage such a serious situation. He suggested forming a "national government" that includes leaders from all parties to deal with any future war more effectively. Watch video for more.
