A major breakthrough in U.S.-South Korea trade relations has been announced following intense discussions at the APEC Summit in San Francisco. Both sides reached an understanding to slash U.S. auto tariffs on South Korean imports from 25&#37 to 15&#37, marking a significant shift in Washington’s trade policy. Lee Jae Myung’s top aide confirmed the development, stating that Seoul will invest nearly $350 billion in the United States, including $200 billion in cash commitments and $150 billion toward shipbuilding and industrial cooperation. On December 29, a plane from Bangkok crashed at Muan International Airport, reportedly killing at least 47 people. The flight, Jeju Air flight 7C2216, was carrying over 180 passengers when it crashed while landing early in the morning. The plane skidded off the runway and hit a wall, causing a huge fireball to rise into the air. According to Muan fire officials, at least 33 bodies had been recovered, and rescue operations were still ongoing at the time of reporting.
