J&K: Two terrorists including LeT commander gunned down by security forces in Ka

The commander, identified as Usman, was involved in the murder of Inspector Masroor earlier this year. The encounter, which began early Saturday morning, resulted in injuries to four security personnel. IGP Birdi confirmed that the operation has concluded successfully with the terrorist's death. In a separate operation in Anantnag, two more terrorists were killed. IGP Birdi highlighted that security forces take action based on reliable intelligence, leading to these significant achievements in combating terrorism. Further investigations into the incidents are ongoing.

Jhelum boat accident: Boat capsizes in J&K's Jhelum River, 4 dead

In a tragic incident, a boat carrying school children capsized in the Jhelum river in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on April 16. The Jhelum boat accident killed 4 people. The Srinagar Administration has launched a rescue operation in the area. A State Disaster Response Force team was also deployed. At least six persons including four children have died. Meanwhile, 4 bodies have been recovered, while others are missing. The boat which has capsized was ferrying children from Gandbal to Batwara in Srinagar. Continuous rains over last two days have led to an increase in the water levels of several water bodies, including Jhelum. Watch video
