The BJP led Mahayuti coalition is all set to claim a sweeping victory in the state of Maharashtra. Actress Swara Bhaskar’s husband Fahad Ahmad, NCP (SCP) leader contested in the elections from the Anushakti Nagar constituency that has been a bastion of NCP veteran Nawab Malik. While as per ECI’s figures by 2 pm, Fahad Ahmad is trailing behind Sana Malik of the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Fahad Ahmad and wife Swara Bhaskar cried foul and levelled accusations of EVM tampering. Swara Bhasker had campaigned for husband Fahad intensely in the constituency.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi began his ‘Jan Nyay Padyatra’ from Mani Bhavan Sangrahalaya on March 17. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker accompanied him during the Yatra. Swara made some bold statements against the ruling BJP government. She alleged the ruling government of doing politics of hatred. “There is different type of politics in the ruling government, the politics of hatred. They are taking name of our Gods and committing crimes. Being a Hindu, I believe that there is no bigger sin than this. To fight against all of this, such efforts of Rahul Gandhi and Congress are very important.
