Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the Congress party saying that the grand old party fed biryani to terrorists when they were in power. “This is `New India` that knows to protect its citizens and international borders... Now, no one can shelter terrorists and naxals in India. Congress starved the poor and fed biryani to terrorists, PM Modi has been giving free rations to 80 crore people for the last 4 years and will continue to give for the upcoming 5 years,” said Yogi Adityanath.
Violent clashes broke out in Madikeri town of Karnataka over celebrations revolving around Tipu Sultan, an 18th century ruler who is a much-debated figure in history. Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Hindu Sena had organized the protest against Tipu Sultan's birth anniversary which is being celebrated by the Karnataka Government.
