At a White House briefing, Vice President JD Vance defended the ICE officer’s actions, saying the shooting was an act of self-defense and blaming left-wing groups, Democratic leaders, and sections of the media for creating a hostile environment toward federal law enforcement. He said he was not concerned about prejudging the investigation, arguing that the facts were already clear.
