Typhoon Kalmaegi has unleashed chaos across Southeast Asia, leaving Vietnam battered and the Philippines in mourning. With over 188 dead and hundreds missing in the Philippines, the storm’s deadly path continued into central Vietnam, destroying thousands of homes, crippling power lines, and flooding entire provinces.

Typhoon Kalmaegi slammed into the central Philippines with winds up to 205 km/h, killing at least one and forcing tens of thousands to flee. Entire neighborhoods in Cebu and Talisay were submerged, flights grounded, and storm surges up to three meters high threatened coastal towns. The storm is now moving toward Vietnam, where authorities are preparing for a possible second landfall.
