Protesting wrestlers reached Haridwar on May 30 to immerse their medals in river Ganga. as a mark of protest against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh over sexual harassment allegations. Meanwhile, Farmer leader Naresh Tikait arrived in Haridwar and took medals from the wrestlers and sought five-day time. Amid this, Indian Boxer and Congress leader Vijender Singh showed support to the Indian wrestlers. He appealed to the people of India to come in support of the players. Meanwhile, reacting to the ongoing protests, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that he will hang himself if proven guilty. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur talked to the media regarding the wrestler’s protest and he asked the wrestlers to have faith in the police and judiciary.
