Ukraine’s capital Kyiv was rocked by powerful explosions as Russian drones and missiles targeted the city, triggering a prolonged air raid alert that lasted for hours. Air defense systems were activated as cruise and ballistic missiles were reported over multiple regions. The attack comes just days before President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to meet Donald Trump in the United States to discuss a proposed 20-point peace plan aimed at ending the nearly four-year war. As diplomacy intensifies, fighting on the ground shows no signs of slowing.
