A destructive tornado carved a path of devastation across northern Oklahoma, hitting Enid with full force and triggering an emergency response late in the evening. The storm, confirmed by the National Weather Service, brought intense winds that shredded homes, snapped power lines, and left entire neighborhoods in chaos. Authorities declared a tornado emergency for southeast Enid around 8:22 PM CDT as the funnel cloud moved dangerously close to Vance Air Force Base. The base immediately activated accountability protocols to ensure the safety of all personnel, while parts of the facility were forced into partial shutdown due to storm damage. Initial reports confirm at least 10 injuries, with search and rescue teams deployed across affected areas.
