The England squad flew to Bangladesh last week, but Swann stayed at home to attend the birth of his first child.
The 31-year-old is now set to join the team in Nagpur on Sunday, two days ahead of their match.
"This is an incredibly special day for us, and we are both absolutely delighted and very proud parents," the Telegraph quoted Swann, as saying.u00a0u00a0
"Both Sarah and Wilfred are doing very well, and I am looking forward to enjoying the next couple of days with them both before I fly out to join the team for the World Cup," he added.
