Italian giants AC Milan are leading the pursuit to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez
Italian giants AC Milan are leading the pursuit to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez. AC Milan hopes to sign the 27-year-old Argentine by mid-January so that he can spend a two-week mid-winter training session in Dubai with the team.
Cash rich French club, Paris St Germain and Juventus are also reportedly keen to sign Tevez, but Milan seems to be the likely destination for Tevez for now, The Telegraph reports.
The Argentine has been absent from Manchester since flying down to Buenos Aires in November. Tevez is rated at 25 million pounds by Manchester City.
AC Milan are confident of signing Tevez although they stand firm on their stand to bring Tevez on a loan at San Siro with an option of making a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Manchester City is also adamant to seal off a permanent deal for Tevez with AC Milan but according to the reports, talks between Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani and City football administrator Brian Marwood and acting Chief Executive John MacBeath are believed to be going positive since both the parties are determined to see off the deal.
Tevez can still have to wait for some time as both the parties continue to negotiate hard over the proposed deal.
