Al-Barkaat skipper Shoeb Khan, who scalped two wickets conceding 15 runs, is over the moon to be part of the team that got the school its first Giles Shield Elite Division title.
“Our team was an underdog going into the final. Once we bowled out Sule Guruji for 164 runs in the first innings, we were sure of winning the match. Our bowlers, particularly spinner Rajesh Sardar played a crucial role in our victory,” said the 13-year-old.
