The 12-year-old switched from OLPS (Chembur) to Don Bosco (Matunga) six months ago to pursue his passion and rightly excelled yesterday. Not only did he score a century, but he also claimed three VPMS Vidyamandir wickets giving away just 22 runs in his eight overs.
But Lalwani was disappointed at not being able to reach his double hundred. "I am not saying that scoring a century is bad, but my aim was to score a double ton. Sadly I missed it. I hope I can get it in the second innings or may be in the next round," Bhupen told MiD DAY.
Don Bosco were bundled out for 284. In reply, VPMS Vidyamandir scored 74 for the loss of nine wickets at stumps.
