The Sun quoted Arshavin, 30, as saying: "The manager wants to continue working with me."

Arshavin, who skippers Russia, is training with his old club Zenit St Petersburg ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifier against Armenia on Saturday.

Wenger, under pressure because of Arsenal's failure to win a trophy since 2005, has threatened a clearout, and Arshavin could be a target.

But the player has brushed aside speculation that he could move to Russia, Turkey or Spain.u00a0
