Australia were 154 for five and extended their lead to 486 runs at lunch on day four of the fourth Test against India here Friday.

Resuming their second innings at 50 for three, Australia made 104 in the session at the loss of captain Michael Clarke (37) and Mike Hussey (15). Ricky Ponting continued to show good form with his unbeaten 57-run stay at the crease and was joined by Brad Haddin (1). Umesh Yadav (1/23) and Ishant Sharma (1/25) were the wicket takers.

Australia are expected to declare anytime after lunch and India will have to bat out of their skins to save the match.

Ponting and Clarke once again got a partnership going until the skipper was adjudged caught behind off Yadav to a dubious decision. Though there was a definite sound, replays showed it did not come off Clarke's bat, leaving Australia at 111 for four.

Ponting was fluent in his innings, hitting five boundaries including a slog-sweep off Ravichandran Ashwin. Hussey looked good two before he was dismissed leg before off Sharma, making it 147 for five.
