Tamil nadu batsman Subramaniam Badrinath was named as Sachin Tendulkar's replacement in the one-day series in England. Tendulkar was ruled out of series yesterday due to a toe injury. The Mumbai star did not play the first game of the five-match series in Chester le Street on Saturday.
"Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against England due to a toe injury. He has been advised rest for four weeks. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has chosen S Badrinath to replace him," BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement. Badrinath has played seven ODIs.
