Brett Lee's heavy workload in the Champions League Twenty20 where he helped New South Wales Blues to the title, has taken its toll. The Aussie spearhead is unavailable for two games due to an elbow injury but that did not stop him from doing his bit at the nets yesterday.
With all-rounder James Hopes also out and Mitchell Johnson likely to miss today's game too, the inexperienced Ben Hilfenhaus and Doug Bollinger are set for a tough test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in what would be the first day-night international tie in the Orange City.
Lee spent his day sharing his experiences of bowling in Indian conditions with the youngsters.
Meanwhile, Lee's frustrating times in India continue. He could have been on the 2000-01 tour here but an elbow injury ruled him out.
When he made the tour party in 2004-05, he didn't get an opportunity and last year, he played the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in poor health.
