CAB's special effort for Sachin!

Nobody wants to leave any stone unturned to make today a memorable birthday for Sachin Tendulkar. The batting legend, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in Kolkata where Mumbai Indians will take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in an Indian Premier League match at Eden Gardens, will be greeted by two cakes specially ordered for the occasion by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).

From Ghana...
The cake makers have specially ordered best quality chocolates from Ghana and Madagascar to please the batting maestro.

“Sachin Tendulkar is a legendary player and we are proud to make a cake on his birthday. Ghana and Madagascar produce the best quality of chocolate powder which we have specially ordered for our preparation,” revealed Vikas Kumar, executive chef at Flurys Swiss Confectionery shop in Kolkata. “We have already delivered a small replica of the bigger 40-pound cake to CAB. The bigger one will be delivered a few hours before the match at Eden,” added Kumar.

The 40-pound cake will resemble a cricket pitch complete with a bat, ball and stumps. It will also have 40 pictures of Tendulkar superimposed on the cake.

CAB has suggested the design, informed Kumar, who is hoping to personally deliver the cake to the legend.u00a0
