Cardiff City forward Craig Bellamy announced yesterday that he will retire from international football with Wales after the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Belgium.
The 34-year-old is Wales’s equal third most-capped player and will win his 77th cap against Macedonia on Friday, which will be his final home appearance in his home city of Cardiff.
He had hinted that he would bid farewell to the international arena in a friendly against Finland in November, but on Tuesday he said: “This is the last week of my Wales career. I will not play in November.”u00a0
