Deccan Chargers' Lehmann not sweating over Adam Gilchrist

Deccan Chargers' coach Darren Lehmann has played down the threat posed by his former Australian teammate Adam Gilchrist who would be leading Kings XI Punjab in an interesting IPL face-off between the two sides here today.

Lehmann said his team would be planning for not just the swashbuckling opening batsman but for the entire opposition."We have a plan for the batsmen and the bowlers. But it all boils down to who executes the plans better on the day," Lehmann said on the eve of the match.

Before joining Preity Zinta's co-owned franchise, Gilchrist skippered the Chargers in the previous editions of the IPL and led the team to title triumph in the second season in South Africa.

Lehmann emphasised the importance of getting his partner-turned-rival out early but believed that Gilchrist's previous association with Chargers gave the visitors no added advantage. "Obviously, he is a good player, one of the greats of the game. Hopefully he doesn't go off like he did for Deccan. We have to get him early because he can score at a good rate," theu00a0 Australian said.

Chargers broke their home jinx with a 33-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday and Lehmann said the team would retain the bowling combination of three pacers and two spinners.
