The Indian team squandered a first game lead to go down 23-21, 20-22, 14-21 against the second seeded Korean pair of Yong Dae Lee and Hyo Jung Lee in London.
The Indian pair, World No 14, rode on their smashes but were outdone by the Koreans in the net play after a 48-minute grueling battle. The Indian duo earned 32 smash points against 31 of the Koreans. But they could manage just eight net winners against 10 of their World No 3 rivals.
