Euro qualifiers: Spain, the favorites

Sergio Ramos insists World Cup winners Spain will have the utmost respect for underdogs Lithuania while his fellow defender Gerard Pique has warned, "no team is invincible".

Spain are overwhelming favourites heading into their second Euro 2012 qualifying match in Salamanca today, where the reigning European champions will be looking to make it two wins from two in Group I having beaten Liechtenstein 4-0 in their opening match.

They have lost just three times, while they have won each of their four meetings with Lithuania down the years ufffd scoring eight times and conceding none.

However, Ramos is taking nothing for granted ahead of today's clash with Raimondas Zutautas' side, who have taken four points from their opening two Group I matches after drawing with Scotland and then beating Czech Republic away from home.

"They don't have any well-known players, but we have to have the maximum respect for them, because if they are aspiring to qualify there's a reason for that. They have players in various leagues at a good level," said Ramos, whose side go into the game having suffered a 4-1 friendly loss to Argentina in their last match a month ago.

Pique believes the friendly defeat by Argentina, which saw Spain hit the woodwork three times but pay the penalty for a poor start which saw them trailing 3-0 after 34 minutes, proves that no team is untouchable.

"(We've learned) that despite being world champions nobody in invincible and any team can beat you if you don't have a good day. We have to go out with the some motivation in every game, with the will to win," he said.
