Julie, the wife of erstwhile India cricketer Farokh Engineer, is a satisfied consumer after a mobile phone company in England returned huge amounts paid by her due to some faulty billing, according to The Daily Mail yesterday.
In 2014, Cheshire (UK)-based Julie went to the phone store with a query and discovered that there were four active lines on her records instead of two and a whopping £1,624 had been taken out of her account as charges.
She struggled to get things sorted for two years before writing to the newspaper who ran a successful campaign against warped billing.
The issue was sorted out within a few days and not only did Julie get her £1,624 back, she also was given £300 pounds for the inconvenience caused to her.
