CSK had petitioned the court to stay the two-year suspension imposed on it from playing in the IPL by the Supreme Court-appointed Justice RM Lodha committee.
The court said it would hear the matter next on September 23. The Lodha Committee recommended a two-year suspension of two teams — CSK and Rajasthan Royals — since their team officials were found to be indulging in betting.
The committee also banned for life Gurunath Meiyappan, a former team official of CSK.
