A brilliant double-century from skipper Ayush Jethwa helped Swami Vivekanand (Borivli) win by virtue of first innings lead against Parle Tilak English (Vile Parle) on Day Two of the Giles Shield Elite Division league, Round One match at Islam Gymkhana yesterday. Ayush's 242-run knock was laced with 36 fours. Parle Tilak declared their first innings on the overnight score of 372-3. Anish More scored an unbeaten 211 for the Vile Parle outfit.

In reply, SVIS declared their innings on 400-6. Parle Tilak's left-arm spinner Dhawal Mate picked three wickets. The Vile Parle school scored 52-1 when stumps were drawn on Day Two.
Owais Shaikh and Awais Khan scored centuries for Rizvi
At Hindu Gymkhana, centuries from Awais Khan (100) and Owais Shaikh (100) helped Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) win by an innings and 178 runs against Balmohan Vidyamandir Marathi (Dadar). Balmohan were bundled out for a paltry 74 in the second essay. Rizvi declared on 380-5 in reply to Dadar outfit's 128 in the first essay. Off-spinner Umar Khan claimed 4-21 for the Bandra outfit.
