Protest progress

Shane Watson

Watson, a Norman?

THE way Australia opener Shane Watson deliberately chipped the ball over the in-field time and again to get his fours and sixes yesterday resembled a golfer parading his skills.

Watson's shots prompted am Aussie journo in the media box to remark: "He could well take the place of Greg Norman (former world No 1 Australian golfer, who pulled out of the upcoming Australian Open yesterday due to a shoulder injury)."

Tyagi loves Paisa
New paceman Sudeep Tyagi and leg-spinner Amit Mishra love their Hindi music. Yesterday, even as the Indian fielders were made to run helter skelter across the field by the aggressive Australian batsmen, Tyagi and Mishra were enjoying the music being played over the loudspeaker.

Tyagi even went up to the DJ and requested for a tracku00a0- "paisa paisa karti hai" from Akshay Kumar's upcoming film De Dana Dan.
The DJ also cleverly edited the background music of Bryan Adams' hit track 'Summer of 69' and substituted it with bhangra beats much to the crowd's liking.
