Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting doesn't want to give any unsolicited advice to his teammates, but said if the boys, including his successor Michael Clarke, need advice he will always be available for them.
"I am just a player in the team now and if Michael or any of the boys want advice, I am just going to be there to give it to them when asked," Ponting was quoted as saying by The Australian.
Meanwhile, captain Michael Clarke has admitted that it would take some time for his team to get back among the best in Tests and said he was looking forward to an exciting series in Sri Lanka. "I'm really confident with the squad we have.
I love the fact we've got some new fresh faces that are excited and itching for their opportunity," Clarke said before leaving for Sri Lanka.
