Former India captain and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Sourav Ganguly feels India swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar could have a major say in the hosts' fortunes during the opening Test against Sri Lanka which begins at Eden Gardens here tomorrow. It will be Sri Lanka's first ever Test the iconic venue.

"The ball will swing and Bhuvi will be very difficult to tackle on this track which may have a tinge of green. He swings the ball both ways and he could be a key bowler," Ganguly told mid-day on the sidelines of the inaugural Jagmohan Dalmiya Conclave.

"I'd play three pacemen on this track. Mohammed Shami will be the hit-the-deck bowler while Umesh Yadav's pace will be important too," added Ganguly. Sri Lanka have yet to win a Test in India let alone a Test series. At one stage — from 1986 to 1994, they lost six Tests in a row. India won the last series in 2009-10 with a 2-0 margin.
