Former India skipper Bishan Singh Bedi slammed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for not being able to preserve the great legacy of the sport.
“Indian Premier League (IPL) is not my cup of tea. Test match is a legacy for me. But we are not interested in preserving our own legacy. It feels sad when our legacy is ruined. Providing a balanced opinion of T20 cricket, former India opener and coach Gaekwad said: “I too belong to the same school of thought where Test cricket is the ultimate form of the sport. But I do not rule out the fact that IPL has actually helped in the revival of cricket in India. Indian cricket was going through a low and it looked like it would go the West Indies way. But the IPL that has enlightened the game.”
