Former VCA curator Kishore Pradhan predicted the Indian batsmen to struggle as well. “This wicket is an absolute rubbish. It is certainly not a true Test wicket.
It is worse than a patta (flat) wicket. The cracks will further widen as the match progresses,” Pradhan told MiD DAY from Nagpur yesterday. “The Indian batsmen too will have a tough time. Batting will become very difficult Day Three onwards. Our batting has struggled in this series. So, this is not an ideal track to get back the confidence.
“Spinners will play a huge role later on in the game. We should restrict England under 300 runs. Else, it will become difficult to win,” he added. u00a0
