"It's great to be back in India. This is my first-ever visit to Chandigarh, and I am absolutely in love with this place. It's a shame that I never came here during my playing days. We didn't play any ODIs or Tests here during my tour here in 1991-92, and later in 1996-97," Hudson told MiD DAY yesterday.
"I visited the Rock Garden, the Tower of Shadows and even the International Dolls Museum.u00a0 Another place that struck me was the Capitol Complex, the open hand, which I am told is the official emblem of this city," he said.
"There's so much to do here, the people are friendly. I love the small-town feel and the food is delicious. My wife has travelled with me for the World Cup, we have been touring all around and loving every minute of it," he said.
"We tried to get on a cycle rickshaw but our bums were too big to fit into the same," he laughed. "So we decided to hire two different rickshaws and asked the drivers to drive alongside each other. It was a great way to move around the town.
"My wife is here only for a few weeks, hopefully I will be here till the first week of April," he grinned.u00a0
Hudson said that his team was looking to enjoy the World Cup. "Honestly, this is the first time when there's not too many expectations from a South African side in such a big event. We are just enjoying ourselves here, there's hardly any pressure. We are not setting any goals at the moment," he said.
