More than anything else, ahead of tonight's Confederations' Cup semi-final against South Africa, Brazil coach Dunga is wary of his battle from the bench with fellow Brazilian and his former coach Joel Santana.
"Santana is one of the greatest coaches to come out of Brazil. Luckily, I'm not playing against Santana. We are playing the South African team," said Dunga.
Brazilian Santana is highly regarded in his homeland and is one of only a handful of coaches to have won the league title with the four clubs Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Vasco da Gama. And if SA play as well as Santana talks then Brazil are in for a hiding tonight.
"Note this, playing against Brazil is a professional occasion," Santana said. "It's a historic moment and though I know some of the Brazilian players personally the important thing is we are going to do our best against one of the top teams in the world. I respect the opponents, but I don't really care about them as I'm now with Bafana Bafana," added Santana.
