It was a brotherly show of bravado that gave India victory in last night's Twenty20 tie against Sri Lanka.
After Mike and David Hussey scripted Australia's ODI win against New Zealand in the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy in Adelaide, it was the turn of half brothers Yusuf and Irfan to show off their skills. They did it in style and panache and their heroics came with defeat staring India in the face in the one-off T20 game under the Premadasa Stadium lights.
Indeed, India proved why they are kings of T20 cricket. Victorious skipper Dhoni was not coy to reveal his secret of success. "We always back each other and I believe anyone can do anything in this team."
Dhoni was delighted that Yusuf gave his all in the field, whether it was with ball or bat. "I have a lot of faith in Yusuf. He can contribute with bat and ball. He may not have a doosra; he may not spin the ball a long way but he can do a job well and then come in late in the order to hit well."
