“It is a great honour playing for the country and you would love to continue doing that. But then it was the right time to give opportunities to youngsters.”
Laxman was felicitated by the Karnataka State Cricket Association here yesterday during tea break of the second Test against New Zealand.
On future plans, he said: “I am looking forward to playing Ranji Trophy because I have not played too much for Hyderabad from 2000 and thought it was my moral responsibility to give back something to Hyderabad cricket.”
