According to cricinfo.com, the Kolkata-based Indian Premier League outfit that finished last in the second edition of the tournament in South Africa recently, is understood to have decided to remove Buchanan from his position as KKR's director of cricket operations and have begun sounding out possible replacements.

However, Buchanan pleaded his ignorance on the issue when contacted by the website.
"I haven't heard anything officially," said Buchanan, before adding that he might comment on the issue in the next 48 hours.
"I may have more to say in the next day or two," added the former Australia coach.
It is also learnt that former Australia captain Steve Waugh and current BCCI National Cricket Academy head Dav Whatmore are being considered as the possible replacements besides some Indian candidates, who have been contacted by the franchise officials.
