Iqbal Abdulla and Rajat Bhatia took two wickets each for the Knight Riders.
Jacques Kallis scored 30 runs and scalped the key wicket of Shikar Dhawan who contributed a gritty fifty four for the Chargers.
KKR captain Gautam Gambhir contributed a quick-fire 35 of 22 balls at the top of the order.
