Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Pune Warriors India by seven wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the D.Y. Patil Sports Academy here Friday.

Knight Riders easily achieved the target of 119 runs by losing three wickets in 16.4 overs after skipper Gautam Gambhir scored an unbeaten 54.

Put in to bat after KKR had won the toss, Pune Warriors scraped through to 118/7 in their 20 overs, with skipper Yuvraj Singh top-scoring with 24.u00a0


Yusuf Pathan, Shaki Al Hasan and Lakshmipati Balaji picked up two wickets each for Kolkata.

KKR play their next match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, May 22.
