The senior India batsman is in London to consult a specialist for his toe injury.

Speaking over the phone, the orthopedic surgeon said: "I cannot discuss his injury status, neither can I confirm whether he would be playing in the IPL, but what I can confirm is that if he plays the IPL, he will be able to do better."

"Yes, I did see him on Wednesday (at Fortius Clinic 1:00 pm). Our consultation lasted for nearly 60 minutes," added Dr Calder.

Dr Calder is a specialist for sports injuries to the feet and ankle. Six months ago, Dr Calder referred Tendulkar to a lady podiatrist Anne-Marie O'Connor for treatment. "However, this time Sachin hasn't been referred to her,"
Dr Calder informed.
