"We have given them 10 days time to reply to the showcause notice on why their license to play in local tournaments conducted by MCA should not cancelled," MCA sources told PTI.
The CCI, which is an affiliated unit of the BCCI, hosted the IPL 7 eliminator on May 28 at Brabourne Stadium between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings after the BCCI moved all matches out of Chennai.
The eliminator was earlier scheduled to take place at Chepauk, but no matches were possible there due to the ongoing dispute between Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and the municipal corporation over construction of a few stands.
