Mumbai Indians' stand-in captain Harbhajan Singh has been drawing flak for non-performance for quite some time. Even in the last match against Chennai Super Kings he failed to deliver the goods. But yesterday, against a tough Trinidad & Tobago side, he bowled his heart out and returned figures of 3-22 in his four overs to restrict the opponents to 98 in the Champions League T20 league match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here to pave the way for Mumbai's second win on the trot.

The Mumbai Indians then somehow managed to crawl towards the target with only a wicket to spare.
Earlier, Mumbai's bowlers were spot on taking wickets at regular intervals. Captain Harbhajan, who went wicketless on Saturday, produced a brilliant spell bagging the wickets of Denesh Ramdin (0), Darren Bravo (18) and Sherwin Ganga (2) to help Mumbai restrict the the West Indians for a paltry 98. Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga (2-22) ably assisted his captain. Abu Nechim, James Franklin and Kieron Pollard scalped one each for the winners.

Opting to bat, the West Indian side looked to be in good form with opener Adrian Barath slamming a couple of fours in Malinga's first over. But Trinidad & Tobago's joy was short-lived as Malinga came back with an immaculate yorker to get rid of Barath.

The other opener Lendl Simmons also began well but couldn't keep up the tempo and the Caribbeans soon lost wickets in quick succession to find themselves in trouble. By the end of the 12th over, they were reduced to 78 for six. They eventually failed to get past the 100-run mark being shot out for 98.u00a0
