William Gallas has revealed that Tottenham's Champions League thrashing at Real Madrid was "one of the worst" nights of his career.
The 33-year-old Frenchman compared Spurs' first-leg humiliation to the heartache he suffered as a Chelsea player when his former club got knocked out by Liverpool in the semi in 2005.
Gallas said: "It is maybe one of the worst results of my career... 4-0 is very difficult to accept, especially for the defenders to have played with 10 players. A few years ago I lost against Liverpool in the semi-final.
That one was difficult to accept as well. Tonight was one of my bad nights. But then we played against a strong team. Real Madrid is Real Madrid, one of the best teams in Europe," said Gallas.
