Former India cricketer and teammate Shobha Pandit called Sreerupa a loving mother and a helpful friend, "Sreerupadi was a motherly figure for the West Bengal team. I was associated with her right from the second Nationals which were played in Banaras in 1974. She was a true leader, a loving mother and a helpful friend to one and all. We will miss her," said Shobha.
