West Indies, the no 8 ranked side in Test cricket had a shocker of a day as they slumped to 94/6 on stumps at day 2. India after amassing 649/9 continued their domination with the ball as well. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 2/11 in six overs. India's spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav also picked up one wicket each. 

Earlier in the day, Indian captain Kohli blasted his 24th Test ton and proved his class once again. Virat Kohli received a very good support from Rishabh Pant, who scored 92 off 84 balls against a hapless Windies attack.
