Pakistan has had a strong Test record in England in recent times and lost only once in 13 Tests between 1982 and 2001.
Ahead of Pakistan and Australia's opening Test at Lord's, Waqar is confident that his seamers would be handy in the swing-friendly conditions.
"If you look back in the past two decades we hardly lost a Test series here in England. That's against England. That's a plus, we know the conditions well," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Waqar, as saying.
Australian vice- captain Michael Clarke said, "They are going to be tough opposition in the Test match and they are going to have a very good attack and the batters are going to have to be at their best."
"With the Duke ball, I imagine they will get it to swing. In conditions, if it is overcast it is going to quite tough," he added.
Pakistan has a bit of momentum on their side courtesy their 2-0 Twenty20 series triumph over Australia.
