Indian and Australian players will observe two-minute silence today to mourn the victims of the recent twin blasts in Hyderabad where the second Test is being played.

Hyderabad Cricket Association secretary Dr MV Sridhar said: “We could not do it (observe two-minute silence) today (Day One). But players will certainly pay respect on Sunday before the commencement of the second day’s play.”u00a0


“We have ensured the presence of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia (CA) officials,” he added.u00a0The twin blasts rocked Hyderabad on the eve of the first Test in Chennai — February 21.

The bombs exploded in Dilsukhnagar, a crowded shopping area.
Nearly 20 people were killed while more than 100 were injured in the terror attack. u00a0The HCA secretary informed that the players might not wear black armbands. “It is not certain whether the players will wear black armbands,” he said.
